I am selling my 1979 FJ 40. This vehicle was a year long project that has yielded an exquisite Landcruiser. My intent when restoring was to keep the spirit of the older models but modernize the vehicle. With the exception of the engine this Landcruiser a like new SUV. I have either overhauled or replaced most items. The engine looked to be in great condition when I opened it up so I left it alone. The biggest upgrade to this FJ40 is an Aluminum Tub, Cowl and Windshield Frame. The suspension and brakes are new. I have over $40,000 in this FJ not counting manhours. I have tried to list below the majority of things I did with this Landcruiser:

I have mounted the stereo in the Glove box with an IR amplifier. With this setup you can operate the stereo with the remote without opening the glove box. You also have the option of mounting the stereo in the CCOT Console or in the dash.



Transmission and Transfer Case shift smoothly.

The only flaws on the vehicle right now are:

There is a small area under the drivers floor mat where the Rhino Lining has bubbled. This was caused by not sufficiently removing the coating that was on the tub when shipped.

The headliner is new but I did not do a good job putting it on. I will provide a new Grey headliner when sold.

The altenator is starting to make a humming noise when the car is running. I believe the bearing may be worn. A new Altenator at NAPA is $62.00.

As you can tell by the pictures this is a great looking FJ. I constantly get folks coming up to me to talk about it.

I would like a $500 deposit through PayPal withing 48 hours of auction end and the remainder in either Cash or Bank check when the FJ is picked up.
